The Las Vegas Fashion Council presents the 3rd Annual Little Black Dress Event on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. held at Saks Fifth Avenue, Fashion Show Mall. Join Las Vegas' most fashion forward residents featuring great designs for a great cause! Enjoy food, cocktails, entertainment, fashion and raffle, all in support of two great organizations. This year’s event will benefit the Las Vegas Fashion Council and Friends of the Shade Tree with the winning little black dress design by an Art Institute student to receive a $500 grant toward their education. Saks Fifth Avenue will be presenting the latest little black trends from a variety of designers on the main runway.

Thank you to our sponsors for their generous donations to the 2016 Little Black Dress event

Establishing Las Vegas as a Global Fashion Industry Leader

The Las Vegas Fashion Council is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose membership consists of fashion professionals, students, emerging artists, community leaders, philanthropists and organizations that have a desire to diversify and expand the Las Vegas economy through the efforts of the fashion industry. Launched in 2012, LVFC has awarded numerous student grants and scholarships and raised nearly $100,000 to support various local non-profits that incorporated fashion into their fundraising efforts with the partnership of LVFC, as well as raised funds for the Las Vegas Fashion Council-Fashion Scholarship Fund.

Friends of the Shade Tree

Friends of the Shade Tree is a local, Las Vegas-based organization founded to financially support The Shade Tree shelter. Each year we host the shelter’s largest annual benefit that has become one of the top social events attended by many philanthropic women in our community. Through the generous donor support we receive from corporate sponsors, local businesses and the community we are able to fulfill our commitment to provide safe shelter for the women, children and animals served by The Shade Tree while helping them get back on their feet and have a fresh start.

Student Partnership

The Las Vegas Fashion Council has partnered with the Art Institute of Las Vegas to present the valley’s top, emerging student design talent with a creative outlet, the design of the very Little Black Dresses that will grace the event’s runway.

The Art Institute of Las Vegas is to provide students with a liberal undergraduate education in the arts of design, fashion, media, and culinary. The college prepares students for entry-level positions by offering courses taught by faculty who are working professionals fostering both creative and critical thinking in an environment that encourages academic freedom. Our student-centered college is responsive to the needs of both our local and regional communities. We are professional educators educating creative professionals.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Corporate Sponsorship. Partnering with the LVFC will provide a unique opportunity to align with Las Vegas’ premier philanthropic and fashion community.  The Las Vegas Fashion Council views our sponsorship as partnership and works to develop tailored packages that align to each sponsors’ desired outcomes while maximizing their exposure.

Individual Sponsorship. Individual donors are critical to the Las Vegas Fashion Council’s ability to achieve its mission.  Donors provide the gifts the Council needs to accomplish both the organization’s short- and long-term goals.
